Gastro Gnome - Eat Better Wherever

Bozeman in 2044

What’s the beef with Bozeman? Im guessing it’s probably the same reason I can’t stand the city of Tallahassee anymore

Statewide, generally Montana natives don't like immigrants. I do believe you will fit in just about anywhere.

Yup.
Just what the natives of around Hysham appreciate. A Minnesotan, who upon tiring of Bozeman, moved in next to the neighbors down the road.
Wait til they hear I used to be a Gubmint do nothing.
Not a big deal, I 'm good at making friends. Think I'll ask 'em, right off, if I can shoot an antelope on their place.........

Must be one of the fortunate one's who appreciate all of Bozeman's wonderful amenities - or is profiteering somehow from them. Folks are making bank - livin's good......

I like it, I've lived in a lot worse places, and people hated those for whatever reasons they had to have to feel better. As for profiteering, there's a couple of private schools that are catching that windfall, we're just the middle men.

I'm with Ranch Loco. Bozeman is pretty great - always has been. More people moving in, crowds and some douchey folk, but by and large and great place - especially if you're raising kids, and great if you like being centrally located for hunting. Draw a 2hr perimeter from town and it's truly nothing what it used to be for hunting - but still, could be much worse.

Every time I hear somebody complain about Bozeman, gotta chuckle when I hear where they live..

I'll suffer through it a few more years, then sell my house I bought 20 years ago at $200K for 4+ times that and move to the sticks where I can work 2 days a week for minimum wage and hunt the other 5.

As for that article.. that dork was smoking weed when he wrote it. I couldn't even skim it, painful.

You could do what the immigrants do when they move to the Root and find out it isn’t what they thought it was.

You throw an R behind your name, run for office with extreme ideas, get elected, and try and change things to exactly like the place you just came from.

greenhorn's is even better.............. "Bozeman's pretty great....... sell my house....move to the sticks....." Why not stay in the greatness?
Go ahead and send me your ugly mug right behind your universal sign for happy motoring:)

A seeming prerequisite, currently, for making the decision to move somewhere else.

Man you guys really need to get out and see the rest of the world...

Glad you assume know our life's history and where we have or have not been. Thanks for your input, but no thanks. The subject of this thread is plenty big enough and crazy enough for this hick.
Keep them points are racking up:p

I'll agree with you 100% - the total price of staying is too high. Especially in a place as great at Bozeman:rolleyes:
Did you have a side broad in Bozeman that screwed ya over? 😍Lol. Your distaste for a town/city is strong jedi!
I've been many times when I lived outside of west Yellowstone usually just to hit up Costco for a months worth of supplies get dinner and a micro brew with a stupid ass name like black diamond skier IPA and head home. I was always glad to leave but geesh I didnt think it was that bad. Lol

"I was always glad to leave but geesh I didnt think it was that bad".
Bozeman has become a place I (and many folks) never wanted to live. If ya don't get , who cares.
Many people I know have left to move back to Montana. Like what greenhorn has planned. Like what I have planned.
None of 'em I can think of are on "hunt talk" - so it must not be real.......

I’m assuming nothing, I’m asking you take a look outside of Montana, everywhere is changing... that’s just what happens. My home town looks nothing like it used to the entire front range of CO, the Wasatch front, Seattle, Portland, Burlington, Nashville, etc etc same things are happening there growing, the countries growing... just like it always has I’m sure I could dig up some Ivan Doig or, McClain quotes about the changes they saw in their lifetimes.

I’ve got friends across the country and we all are seeing the same things wherever we live.

I will assume you haven’t been to midland, TX cause if you had you wouldn’t be complaining about any place in Montana.

I was glad to leave not cause it was a shitty place. I just dont like being in a city or even a town that thinks it's a city. Every place with over 50,000 people is the same to me with a commonality which is a place I wouldnt live for any amount of money or opportunity. That's just me tho I dont dislike anybody that chooses to live in one of those places or the place. Just like I hope they dont dislike me cause I choose to live well outside of town. 😁
