So tell me, now its all over what do you do?? Go after ducks and geese? Yotes? Lions?
Or do you say the heck with hunting and break out the skis, or the hockey sticks, augers and fishing poles or whatever?

Always get that little bit of "well now what".

Ski season... As soon as I get bindings for my new fatties.

I have my first ski lessons on the 11th of Dec. I've boarded since I was 18 and I just figured it was time to join what I call the mature crowd.

Commence application strategery. Alaska in December, AZ and WY in January, NM in February....

Sit in town, look at maps, get fat, and save up gas money for spring bear season.

Yup, pretty much application season at my place. And trying to keep Mrs. Fin convinced that I am worth the headache of keeping around for another year.

Also seems to be the time that I spend dreaming about new rifles, another piece of equipment, or a multitude of other things that involve spending money on excesses beyond what I really need.

Might look for a lion sometime in January, but if I want to stay married, i think i will be staying home for the next month or so:)

winter fly fishing and hiking. Might chase ditch parrots once or twice before the end of next month, but nothing serious.

I seem to be staring at the weather forecasts alot. Torturing myself over the coming torture the deer and elk have coming. Nothing I can do about it, I don't know why I keep thinking about it.

Would like to get some cameras out just for gits and shiggles. But I would have to take up x-country skiing to get them anywhere, puke. Fun to see what made it through the gauntlet.

I keep perusing the internet looking at guns, clothes, bows, basically like all the stuff, like Randy said, I just don't really NEED.

Duck, goose, pheasant hunting and repeat each weekend until those season's end, then get serious about ice fishing.

As a good Left Coaster I'm supposed to say Every day in CA there is SOMETHING open...but in reality it is Basketball season. With 2 daughters with 4 practices/week and games on Weekends, I can't get too far from town. The oldest is doing Volleyball now too so that means Thursday nights are shot.

This time of year means the running is 4x/week with a headlamp during the week, The Trail runs start about now on Sunday morning. (Did the Dipsea trail Sunday). By Mid April the long runs will be in the 14 mile range.

With any luck I'll get to try out my home made e-caller on the local yotes. Since I moved I have to get in with the new neighbors...

Deer season is still in 'til years end, waterfowl well into January, rabbit and quail to mid-Feb, hogs whenever, then cobble up a pot of stew & invite friends over for some Canasta.

Forget all about that macho shit and learn how to play guitar - John Mellencamp

If I'm not hunting, I don't care much for the cold.

Lion season starts on Wed. for me. I drew a permit for 121 after four years of applying. Truth be told I'm a lot more excited about hunting lions than I was deer and elk this fall.

It's all about the birds til the end of Jan. then counting the days til spring turkey season commences.

Watching my boy play hockey, then getting him to cub scouts and hopefully teaching him to shoot a shotgun as he is legal next fall for small game (turning 10). Maybe some ice fishing too!
