So I've posted a few times before. Discussing different topics and touching on different aspects of my injury. Been trying to stay active after my back injury 10 years ago. Recently within the past 4 years things haven't been so great. Been dealing with constant pain and other issues that go along with back pain and sciatica issues. I really haven't done much of any hunting or fishing past 4 years. Hiking has also been removed from my life. It's been a tough road dealing with the pain and constant back and forth with Dr's. I use to shoot archery but bow my bow sure causes lots of pain now. I do have my disability so may get xbow. If I ever get fixed or approved for disability. Would rather get fixed, but doesn't seem like that will be happening anytime soon. Any other hunters out there dealing with problems that limit your outdoor time? It's been really tough as I spent almost every weekend in the mountains. I do enjoy reloading still However havent been able to shoot as much due to pain. May switch back to rifle hunting. When I can actually handle more time on my feet. I don't think I will even apply this years, draw deadline approaching. I just don't think I will be able to do it. Been forcing myself past few years to get out and go hunt. It's been really hard and painful getting out there. Unfortunately i also havent been able to help this awesome community. I did enjoy putting my knowledge and time in the mountains to use. Was a lit of fun hearing back from people after giving pointers. I am hopeful that one day i will be back out there. Taking a rest from hunting this year, not going to apply for hunts. I do hope everyone luck with the upcoming draw. Hopefully I can get better and hit the field again with either a rifle or crossbow. I do have a gofund me if anyone would like to help me during these times. https://gofund.me/441cac2ec. Also would like to hear from others dealing with same issues or how you deal with not being able to participate in the outdoors like you use to.
