Spends a bunch of money to buy the tag, spends a bunch of money to hire people to find the biggest bull in the area and keep tabs on it, spends a bunch of money fly out and get driven/walked/"guided" up to the current position of the bull, shoots the bull, takes a picture with the people he gave a bunch of money to make sure he shot the biggest bull he could for the tag he bought.

Anyone hating on a guy that clearly knows how to hunt and kill big bulls is laughable. Kinda like shitting on Cody Robbins for killing giant deer. Most people wouldn't even have a fkn clue what to do if they ran into a bull like that including me. Good job to the lucky hunter. If you haven't looked him up he's got quite the history of chasing giant bulls across the west.

I'll be the first to admit that I simply didn't believe that could be a wild free ranging bull. Sounds like I was wrong.

I wonder if the locals put out supplements, and I'm sure there is plenty of alfalfa around. If the elk can keep from wandering too far, he can stay alive until the price is right. I suspect the situation is not much different than that for Bighorns.

I wonder how long it takes to come down off that high. I know it takes quite a long time for something much smaller. Got to be quite a feeling.

I think comparable to the spider bull. And a few others. May not be game farm but uh definitely a juiced bull. What records are in the book washington and oregon the history. Granted some very managed units today. But uh reality is the northern and southern park elk probably the greatest elk herd in modern time. Big park elk that wonder out rarely go over 400. Some push 430. It mirrors what has become. Go figure a rich guy shot it. I mean I don't think people realize what it takes a natural elk to get 375.

Plenty of big bulls in a couple areas of WA, very few branch antler permits in those areas though, the raffle tag is pure gold, cool to see someone put it to good use, even if he is a rich bastard.
