Spends a bunch of money to buy the tag, spends a bunch of money to hire people to find the biggest bull in the area and keep tabs on it, spends a bunch of money fly out and get driven/walked/"guided" up to the current position of the bull, shoots the bull, takes a picture with the people he gave a bunch of money to make sure he shot the biggest bull he could for the tag he bought. No idea what you mean^
That's my take too. Money/time-rich hunter with the drive/skills to back it up. Pretty amazing animal! He has the time and funds to hunt anywhere he wants because his family owns UPS. He hunts the Rez a lot, and the videos I've seen, he makes the guide, which is required, stay back behind him. He also buys enough raffle tickets in OR and WA to win a lot of hunts. This Bull was on a WA raffle tag. Unlike others that have the money to afford these hunts, he has the skill and patience to kill giant Bulls, no posse and paid scouters required.
Like I said, if that is your thing.Spends a bunch of money to buy the tag, spends a bunch of money to hire people to find the biggest bull in the area and keep tabs on it, spends a bunch of money fly out and get driven/walked/"guided" up to the current position of the bull, shoots the bull, takes a picture with the people he gave a bunch of money to make sure he shot the biggest bull he could for the tag he bought.
Seems like you hit the nail on the head with this one.Guy seems like a greenhorn but with greenbacks
I wonder if the locals put out supplements, and I'm sure there is plenty of alfalfa around. If the elk can keep from wandering too far, he can stay alive until the price is right. I suspect the situation is not much different than that for Bighorns.I'll be the first to admit that I simply didn't believe that could be a wild free ranging bull. Sounds like I was wrong.
Seems like you hit the nail on the head with this one.
I've killed a bunch of bulls that score less than half that. Counting both sides. mtmuleyI wonder how long it takes to come down off that high. I know it takes quite a long time for something much smaller. Got to be quite a feeling.
But have you killed eighty of them?I've killed a bunch of bulls that score less than half that. Counting both sides. mtmuley
You missed the point. mtmuleyBut have you killed eighty of them?
