Anybody Buying Yet? Where’s the Bottom?

Post-election rally is going strong! Reminiscent of pandemic securities when even pink sheet stonks were in the black. But you guys know me, ever the pragmatist. I foresee potential windfall profits to we retail investors followed by a violent end. I’ll retain earnings in boring defensive positions. Because I yoloed on hopium more than once and it never works.

Idk what to think of NVIDIA. Is it high high high and too late to buy? Or considering where AI is going, is it like buying Apple or Amazon 20 years ago?

It's how I feel right now, AI will be revolutionary, but there will be bumps along the way. I was fortunate to put a sizeable chuck of money in the market Q4'22 and well into 2023. The run has been phenomenal, and now I'm really wanting to lock away those gains. I'm figuring there's gonna be volatility with the new admin, will it be full bear market or just a pull back? Who knows.

Amazon doesn't like Nvidia's profit margins. When your customers turn on you, maybe you have pushed your luck a little far?

When internet people share stock advise - it upon the person to decide.

That said, NVDA announced a bullish outlook during their earnings call. Good aspect of NVDA - AI is competitive and they are a leading force within - along with AI, they are diversified leading the way in other areas such as the must have video graphics cards for computers to present us our screen to type these fantastic opinions.

I tell you, people say, lots of people are saying this IV is going to be YUUUGE! We’re going to do the biggest ever, like the world has never seen in 100yrs. Cabinet picks have been carefully chosen to effect this IV change immediately.

Think about it this way. If he only had one share, which you can't sell a portion of, you now have 10 and can sell 5 while still keeping the house money in the game.

The split doesn't change the price but opens you up to do more with your limited shares

Who ever buys 1 share of something? While it would actually make sense sometimes to do it, I bet almost nobody ever does. And it's not like we're talking about Berkshire when it used to be over 100k. Plus, I think the majority of online brokers now allow you to buy and sell fractional shares so having just 1 share is zero issue now.
