Ammon Bundy convicted in trespassing trial

"... he reached for a gun in his pocket, ..."

....and you were there and witnessed the entire event? ...or are you just repeating what OSP and the media put out?
I hear ya. I read these posts and wonder where these people get their
information from. If it’s the news and they think that makes them properly informed they are living in fantasy. Worse they comment with misinformed conviction. Quite sad but true.

Oh for crying out loud! The whole thing was filmed from a helicopter and put over the air immediately. The people in the car with him confirmed he didn't follow police commands to assume the position and instead got out of the vehicle and reached for his gun. They said he told them he would go down shooting. So they're lying too? Why? They were part of Bundy's refuge occupation terrorist gang. The guy wanted to get shot. He was a social misfit loser who needed to make himself important by being a martyr. No thought about the poor cop(s) who has to live with knowing he killed the father of a flock of Mormon kids. Or about the kids. It was a terrible tragedy but the police and feds are blameless. We can be glad none of them got hurt.

Curious, if you only trust knowledge you gained first hand, how do you justify believing the conspiracy theories you find online if you also weren’t there, personally?

Or do you justify believe the outlandish stories because thinking you’re “in the know” makes you feel special?

Ahhh if the cop didn’t shoot he wouldn’t have to feel bad. You have a twisted rationale. Weird mind.

It’s safe to say you need medication and a psychiatrist-lol.

I dunno?
I have sources I go to when I look for information.
PMSNBC, CNN (Chicken Noodle News), CBS and ABC aren't a source for anything but inflammatory liberal shite.
When Lester Holt wins an Edward R Murrow award and spouts this crap.....

No. A journalist job is to report facts and allow the audience/readers to make their own decisions.

Looks like we have a few more "political moths" who are attracted to the flames (threads) that have almost nothing to do with hunting, conservation, and public land. And if a thread is about the core topics, they have to run the thread in the ditch with their bullshit.

If you want to interject politics into every topic, pack your keyboard and go somewhere else. It does nothing helpful to the forum. There are policy issues related to hunting, conservation, and public lands, and we have those discussions here. Making every topic a conspiracy against whatever point your promoting, is a short path to the door.

I've tired of this shit and my normal tolerance of the conspiracists and thread de-railers is long since past.

Curious,
Worth noting that this article from October of 2020 says “1/3 of American believe a conspiracy theory” about there being validity to the lab leak hypothesis. At the time, this was poopoo’d and even prohibited as a piece of discussion on most social media. Now:

I know this is a thread about the recurring idiocy of Bundy, but the last year has made me more aware of my own skepticism of official narratives and the use of categorical rhetoric, like “conspiracy theories”, to dismiss out of hand certain things. I’m not endorsing any particular line of thinking regarding the example above nor do I want to argue about it. Just a thought and may be a question , That one of the reasons we are seeing an increase in the amount of suckers out there is that many of our historic sense-making institutions have become chiefly financial machines and compromised ones at that. I also think it’s possible that it’s just because there are more stupid people out there.

As it pertains to the Bundys, one thing I did notice over the last year, is the inconsistency in thought and value of many on the “right” when it comes to law and order. When lawlessness and the voluntary dissolution of order came to many American cities last summer, they decried the madness and the stupidity of it all. But those very same people cheered and served as sophomoric apologists when Bundy and his merry band of idiots took over Malheur. They played a stupid game and outside of Finicum, I wish they would have all won a much stupider prize. The fact that they didn’t is such a tragedy. These guys should be a footnote on a prison roster, and not a recurring headline.

Eventually the Bundys will run out of technicality home free cards. There will still be plenty of 'both sides' elephants in the room.

Clarification*..Elephants allusion aren't specific to the Bundy cluster. More of a poorly worded nod to Nameless Range's astute observations of why citizens lose confidence in the veracity and objectivity of dispersed edited for purpose information.

Don't judge a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.

The Gov't has been after Bundy et al nearly 30 years (1993), all to no avail.
I'm sure they (the Gov't) has spent well in excess of the $1 million they claim Bundy owed in grazing fees, chasing after them over the last 30 years.
Isn't it about time the Gov't quit wasting time and money and moved on to something more productive? ...or shall they continue wasting time and money for the next 30 years trying to convict Bundy?
