Airport Whiners shut up...

Jose "How many MILLIONS more people travel each day via subway, train, tunnel, WITHOUT any terrorist attacks?"

And you now want to put TSA checkpoints on every subway station???

That is hilarious..... 20 minute commute? Please arrive 2 hours before departure each morning to clear TSA at the train station.

NoHarley's cartoon kind of points out the lunacy of your paranoia....

Interesting enough... As much as I get a chuckle at NHY's cartoon - Really is that the MOST a cartoonist can come up with?

Take it for what it presents... Gel, nail clippers...? Really - something a person MUST have on their person while flying - and not in their checked baggage... Gotta do their hair, gotta clip their nails -
Sheesh - I think they can SUFFER a few hours without their gel, etc.

I certainly empathize with such a loss of these items while sitting in a seat elbow to elbow with another... Clearly items not NECESSARY while flying - being the case - no need to allow it as a means for enemies to exploit for terror actions.

This cartoon clearly goes to stretching the truth for some laughs -

So - we take the cartoon for what it offers - Body scan / pat down... could it be selective? I believe so and as time progresses - I am sure we will become more focused on targeting behavior... (not to be confused with targeting religion / race)... Being the intel that flowed and our main holiday time frame - I believe this move was good.

Sytes, you don't think we please the Muslim Extremists everytime we pit thousands of entry level civil service functionaries against the general public with kneejerk overkill?

You ever listen to Allen West?

Isn't going to happen? so the underware bomber thing was a hoax? and the shoe bomber? dude, wake up if there was no TSA planes would be the target of choice for these idiots because they can kill so many with such a small device.

What stopping a Bomber from taking 10lbs of C-4 to the Airport? [ nothing].. what would stop him from going to a ticket window or large group at the Airport...I do think we have a choice though... streamline the system.. [profile] issue I.D.s to well screened flyers who pass an exam ,background check etc.....you can never stop it completly... anyone could jump out of a van and kill hundreds at ANY large event... bombs/AK-47.. machine guns... they put 20 people in one van all the time... think if they all had 100+ rounds and hit a large group... schools/ football games/etc.... bloodbath.

If I have to fly.. they can play with my Junk.. [ my choice] no whining:hump:

Weren't you the one bragging about how you "fly airplanes" to all your out of state hunts, and now you are the master at shipping boxes of crap to destinations ahead of time, relying on other people to receive your goods, then shipping more stuff home via UPS and FedEx?

Add up the cost in time (hour$) you spend preparing shipments, driving them to the UPS Store, spending money on freight, having somebody receive them on the destination. Then, all the same in reverse. Then multiply the "extra" costs you now incur to travel on airlines times the number of daily passengers, plus add in the extra hours you have to get to the airport early, and you will see the cost of all this "nonsense" is now way more than "chump change", and the benefit is dubious.

Your paranoia on the shoe bomber and the underwear bomber were both people that got on planes OUTSIDE the US. The TSA could do NOTHING to stop them. Fact.

useless dribble. I would expect nothing less from the source. I didn't even read this mush and just scanned through it and seen your rambles about me shipping hunting gear on hunts. I am not even going to try and figure out what you were trying to do with this one.

It is chump change Schmalts...you dont understand terrorism.

Killing just a hundred people on an airplane is not much of a political statement...a terrorist wants to fly his plane into something to make a statement.

You do remember 9/11? You should...GWB crowed about it every chance he had when attempting to address the public , or when any question from the media was asked. Remember the buildings they hit?

I'd make a political statement right back to terrorists if I was running this mess...the plane they hijacked would be blown from the sky as fast as I could scramble an F-16....chump change and all.

The real threat is people like you...who trade freedom for temporary security.

Reasonable security is one thing...we're wayyyy past that with the TSA, patriot act, etc.
I understand terrorism, you don't. They want planes for fear reasons. One plane going down is chump change compared to how many die in autos yes, but it is the fear and horror associated with jet crashes they want. Also the number of people they kill at once. They also want the huge financial havoc it plays when airports are shut down for days. They want the media coverage.
Plane crashes are a mess and creates more fear than someone that walks into Mcdonalds with C4 or an AK47.
"They want to fly them into buildings to make a statement" Really? no shit, but they will still rather take down a plane with or without a sky scraper to fly into. Did the shoe bomber, the underware kid, and the guys who were going to mix different gels together to make a bomb goig to fly the plane into a building?? No...... your wrong dude

I would guess that is your standard method of getting thru life.

You sleep in a moving fan for a "once in a lifetime hunt", cruise the Interstate looking for elk, and now you declare Buzz to not understand something and declare yourself to understand?

The "financial havoc" of the airports shut down for days was "chump change" compared to the EVERYDAY cost of travellers having to arrive at airports early, for "self-proclaimed expert" hunters like yourself having to ship your luggage/baggage via ground freight, and for the rest of the costs of YOUR SOCIALIST former president, Dubya who NATIONALIZED private industry to create a huge federal agency.

What other industries do you think the Federal Government should take over?

What I do understand is your pattern of diversions and personal attacks when a debate comes to facts and you make a fool of yourself. You are a tool, and everyone here sees it so give up. Want to meet me in person and have a good debate?

That doesn't even make sense..

Should I type slower for you?

Every person who flies now loses an extra hour, two, three dealing with the TSA processes. The productivity lost by those extra hours is a bigger burden to the economy than the cost of shutting down the airlines for 3 days once a decade.

And you think it would have been only 3 days once in a decade if there was no searches and TSA? You really think that if there was no TSA, searches and scans that there would no no change in the amount of tries to blow up planes? humor me some more

Its for a reason....Obamacare and TSA are meant for each other
