This was his statement when he found the door pull.
I hope to see a statement from him, now that the truth is out.

To assume without proof that Wallace was making a publicity stunt is incredibly close minded.

He didn't find it. one of the crew saw it and reported it. Bubba would have been one of the LAST ones to enter the garage. I also find nothing wrong with his statement. Do you?

Well since you asked, I would like it if he clarified that there was no “despicable act of racism and hatred”. That would be a good start.
As for the publicity, maybe not a stunt. But he capitalized on it. He went on the view to discuss something he didn’t even witness.

I think it was an honest mistake and an over reaction by the 43 car crew member. I've seen garage pull ropes tied up like that often. It does look like noose. It wouldn't take much research to understand it wasn't a noose and wasn't a hate crime. I am glad it was a mistake and not the act of a vile human being. The news media needs to do more investigative journalism and stop with the agenda driven narratives. People need to stop rushing to judgement and let the facts come out first.

That being said, I can understand why Bubba and his family have strong feelings and apprehension about what is happening today.

Darrell Jr. had the "privilege" of his name to get him into NASCAR, just like all the other kids with dads who raced previously. He and NASCAR were quick to make assumptions without investigation, had to get the pub before the race not after.

The fact that he has associated with an organization like BLM puts a sour taste in my mouth. Lots of other organizations he could have chose to associate with that would promote a more healthy discourse about race relations.

Frankly I haven't watched a race in a few years, the sport has become stagnant. Without a special TV package, you can only watch a handful of races anyways, and I cut that cord years ago.

With CNN Lemonhead stirring the media frenzy? Psssh... Darrell is hoping OBLM will sponsor his ride for better, eh, Nascar shims to start.
