My Dad helped with a polysci paper, we got a C. He wrote the Prof... even though I pleaded for him not to.I helped my daughter with a paper and she got a bunch of red marks...she was delighted.
Bachelor degree minor was English...I was appalled. My daughter brings it up after one glass of wine.My Dad helped with a polysci paper, we got a C. He wrote the Prof... even though I pleaded for him not to.
Hah, hah! Some typesetter on his last day at work had some fun. A proofreading editor was soon on her last day at work.
I bet 90% of stuff is/has been built or dug by people who didn’t even take trig.I couldn't fit calculus in my busy HS schedule (foreign language, physics, chemistry, trig). I still managed to eventually get a PhD. Had a hard time with stats classes though. I don't see how anyone could ever build (or dig) anything without at least passing HS trig.
Many of us ditchdiggers rely on design pros who did pass calc but failed common sense. They like it when we cover their azzes but seem to forget quickly.I bet 90% of stuff is/has been built or dug by people who didn’t even take trig.
Humor aside, statistics is way more relevant to understanding the modern world than calc for all but the engineers/math/physics folks.
"There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics"Humor aside, statistics is way more relevant to understanding the modern world than calc for all but the engineers/math/physics folks.
Also, I would argue that's just not true. People may not engage in solving problem using calculus, but it's used behind the scenes by almost everyone almost everyday.Humor aside, statistics is way more relevant to understanding the modern world than calc for all but the engineers/math/physics folks.
Aren’t you the guy that burns his shit on the campfire?I couldn't fit calculus in my busy HS schedule (foreign language, physics, chemistry, trig). I still managed to eventually get a PhD.
