We disagree, that's fine. Spare me the passive aggressive shit
Not passive aggressive at all.

If you don't understand the reasons that fighting is a part of hockey, then you simply don't understand hockey.

I mean, you did say that they would be watching the game from the stands for the rest of the game for fighting.

Your response to my thread was simply the word: "dumb."

Don't expect me to "keep the gloves on."

I didn’t even watch the game , but when I heard the canucks booed our anthem, got me fired up , nothing wrong with some angst in sports , we’re not supposed to be friends, as a kid who grew up in Alaska playing hockey in the late 70’s and early 80’s slap shot and Youngblood was a rite of passage to growing up ….. let’s go old school !!!!

Boo all they want. We kicked their teeth in. Let them suck on their frozen flag pole, for all I care. These team's are playing for our countries. Team Canada vs Team USA.

Was an enjoyable game! Players slapped pucks and exchanged punches. The arena of aggressive competition. Brought back the good days of McSorley pouncing anyone who touched Gretzky. Gave Gretzky green light net shots! (Great Canadian players).

Soon the Canadians will be in Boston. I hope U.S. citizens will rise above with regards to respecting the anthem of a team's country competing on our soil though seems today is eye for an eye vs turn the other cheek... We will see.

I don't care for the booing and feel like they got what they deserved in the end. Curious to see how it goes in Boston if canada qualifies to meet us in final. I hope that Boston would show more respect to the Canadian national anthem than they did ours but Boston fans aren't known for being classy. Just happy to watch good hockey.

I agree. We shouldn't boo anyone national anthem.

I can understand the booing honestly. We might have been booing as well if the Canadian Prime minister made similar idiotic statements/threats about our country.
This. If you’ve ever been to a game in Canada and witnessed the overwhelming national pride they have for their anthem and their country, one might understand that reaction after happenings over the last month.

It was an electric game. I enjoyed the enthusiasm on both sides. The boards sure took a beating.

I have! I have been to games in montreal, Vancouver( Cup final in 94) , Calgary, (Quebec yeah the old Nordiques!), Toronto and we even went to Jrs when they were in New Brunswick!
I have some great friends that live in Canada. My buddy when he came down with his daughter to John Hopkins stayed at my house for few days, and we also visited him in Newfoundland and fished with him on his commercial boat and stayed wit his family. We will be hunting together next year for moose again! Our Fourth moose hunt together !

We love them all. And it tells you the kind of good people they are that with all this nonsense being said, it something that didn’t even need to be discussed or explained. They know that’s not us and what we think and how we act.

Been to several events in Canada and agree, their pride rings true. How that "pride" turns to justification for booing another country's pride is beyond me.
We should respect other countries moment for their anthem. It is the anthem of the country not of Trudeau, Trump, or other current leader.

Will it happen in Boston? I hope respect is shown though Canada's lack of respect for a team representing a country may have spurred a world of disrespect.
