I love being Americansplained about how my country should feel about threats from a foreign head of state. This behaviour is in line with why your country has a bad reputation abroad, but I get it, you don't care...

I don't know a single person in my entourage who supports the idea of the 51st state and the majority of Canadians completely oppose the idea.

I’m not going to take up for what Trump says but he says all kinds of stuff. To think the US would ever invade or take over Canada is silly. You always seem like a reasonable guy on here, are you saying you are legitimately in fear that the US is going to annex Canada?

It's dangerous rethoric. Do I think we'll get nuked or invaded? Of course not! Do I think you will make our lives miserable and attempt to crash our economy for absolutely no reason? Yes.

Did I take my 80yo grampa seriously when he started having cognitive issues and saying inapropriate crap all the time? No, but he wasn't the president of the most powerful nation on earth either.

Fair enough. I am for fair trade, think I saw today where they are leaning toward reciprocal tariffs, so that sounds fair. But I see what you are saying I do think it sounds disrespectful when he says that sh*t but, and I’m guessing here, I bet he thinks he is talking to the anti-Trudeau crowd and that it would resonate with the conservatives up there. Clearly he didn’t read the room correctly.
