    New Mexico

Was in the northern part of NM for a hunt this year. The app deadline I believe is mid March but not sure on that. There's no points it's all random so you're not behind in a points game. The seasons aren't like MT were you have an archery season for all units then a rifle season and the same...

    2014 Hunt resolution!

I've successfully done my '13 goal of exercising all year which I plan to continue. -Next it to try to get my nephew who turns 8 this year his first deer, came close in Nov but couldn't seal the deal. -Then try to get my pops to go out hunting w/me as he doesn't hunt much and never really...

    New Wyoming raffles

Not true for NR, there's till the wilderness law so you can't hunt anywhere in the state, unless they eliminated that for this raffle. I'm not sure how many trophy units are in wilderness areas but to me it's the principle of it all, I'm not going to pay 10 bux a ticket just to be able to buy a...

    New Wyoming raffles

Glad I saw this, didn't know you still had to buy the tag if you won the raffle. Will be one less person in the drawing now that I know that.

    Thermacell Heated Insoles

I've looked at these a few times was a little thrown on from mixed reviews online, went w/the Artic Shield boot covers instead. How long do they last once charged up? Still might invest in a pair just to try em out.

    Permit allocation Res/NR

Don't residents have the option to hire a guide too? Not sure why you'd want to punish the NRs because they are paying roughly 15k each for those guided hunts, that alone is $7.5 million that goes to the outfitting business in the state, plus the price of tags, transportation to from AK, misc...

First time Antelope in Wyoming, help needed!

Anyone know roughly how much an access fee is? Just a average/ball park number.

    Sportsman Channel Shows

Believe he was referring to some shows using equipment or practices that are illegal in some western states. IE; lighted nocks, mechanical broadheads, etc.

    Sportsman Channel Shows

Meat Eater is good, also like Pigman. The Western Hunter, Major League Bowhunter, and Winchester World of Whitetail are three I like also. Territories wild with Tom Mirranda isn't bad but most/all of his hunts are with some pretty pricey outfitters. North American Whitetail isn't to bad either.

    Permit allocation Res/NR

I agree w/this. I think also the makeup of huntable land should be taken into consideration, amount of federal vs state land. Most states that rely on NR should allow for at least 20% of those tags to go to NR, but I know that's a pipe dream at best and I'm sure there's a lot of residents...

    Northeast Wyo DIY Info

This should give you a start for units and how much public/private there is. https://diyhuntingmaps.com/p/wy-deer-statewide-unit-map.html I know there's not a lot of public ground in the east /north east but some. Thunder Basin Nat'l Grassland I think is in region B but not sure on the whitetail...

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Here's a map from WY G&F for deer units. Can look at the unit you are wanting to hunt and see if it's in a wilderness area. As the map says it's for general reference only but should give you a pretty good idea. http://wgfd.wyo.gov/web2011/imgs/QRDocs/REGULATIONS_CH6_MAP.pdf

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Most units in WY the tag can be used for either archery or rifle. You just have to buy an archery permit which is like $15 or something and can be bought online if you want to hunt the Sept. archery season.

    Topo Map on I-Phone

BCN and most of the others don't require service to work. You download the map area you want before you head out and then bring it up and start up your gps once to the area you are hunting. It will drain you batter some because you are running gps and another program but I don't have mine on all...

    Wyoming Mule Deer

Yep, it's almost twice as much or just under that. One thing about region H is that some of those units have wilderness areas which as a NR you can't hunt in unless you have a guide or a resident guide(a friend basically to take you). Not saying you can't hunt in H just be aware of the...

    Wyoming Tag increase 2014?

I believe that was all voted down for both NR and R, so no. Unless something else happened that I missed but that was the last I remember.

    Topo Map on I-Phone

I use BCN exclusively, got rid of my Garmin because of it. Works awesome you can add public/private land overlays, game units, topo's aerials, and a lot more. I believe there is a program for iPhone called Trimble Outdoor Navigator, Gaia GPS is another for both iPhone and Andriod but not sure on...

    Hero Pic Controversy

According to Nat Geo up to 100 sq miles, I would assume that depends entirely food/water available though.
