Wyoming Pronghorn adventures

Photo #6 might have been leaking a little if he got close to me...good mass, good prongs, good hooks, good length...good goat. Thanks for sharing those pics - HIGH quality!

Thanks for sharing those great photos! I really like the buck in the last two photos. Keep us posted as your adventure continues.

Wow...

You never told me you drew WY this year... sum beotch! Great pictures as always. Are we eating snake again or did you let that one pass like the pronghorn? Good luck.

Upon further inspection he's got a little funkiness to his other side....:( The prong seems to be significantly higher but shorter...

I'm still not sure I could have passed on that buck in the last 2 pictures of that first post. He really looks like he is an upper 70's type buck to me. Lots of mass, good prongs, decent height. The only weakness I see on him is his upper mass.

That is a mess of rattlesnakes!!!

Enjoying the pictures.

A few more that got a free pass yesterday. It was HOT, as you can see from the heat waves!!

So the three day weekend allowed for an extended weekend trip back to the desert in search of "the one".

First day found me touring two areas of the unit I have yet to cover. I think all in all I have put close to 2700 miles in the unit, between scouting and hunting so far. I originally set my goal for 85+, but have only seen 3 bucks around the 80-82 inch mark and 1 85+ ( that I assume was killed with a commissioners tag near the highway being rifle season doesn't open for the rest of us yet). Keep in mind this is out of probably 250+ different bucks in one of the better units in WY, of which I've taken pictures of nearly all... Several great stalks on some upper 70's type bucks, that I've passed, at least 30 or so smaller bucks I could have easily arrowed... Have I mentioned I love chasing pronghorn with a bow...:D

Some pictures of just some bucks...

I have pretty much covered every square inch that I possibly could, So I guess that I just need to pick the best of whats there...:W:

With your bow or rifle? Time is running out for bow I assume. Are you scouting my unit? :)

I still have the option of picking up the rifle which likely will happen... but bow is coming to an end soon....

I scout everyone's unit.... I know... it sounds bad...

Very very nice photos! What camera/lens are you using? If I could get pics as good as the ones you're sharing I'd be in heaven just to use the camera and do a little hunting. Good luck finding the "one."
