The overall trend is downward since 1970. I'd call 2017 an economic bubble. Furthermore, states are gaming the license sale system to maximize Pittman Robertson reimbursement.
I do realize that as a WY resident, I don't have the same perspective on this as all the NR's who like to come out here to hunt, so go easy on me. Also, I'd like to say thanks to all of the NR's who come out here to hunt and fish. Your contribution to our state is enormous.
That said, before we complain too much about the fees going up, has anyone actually looked to see where that money is going? Would you be ok with that money being put toward habitat improvement, public access, and putting more sheep on the mountain? Would you feel differently about it if you got a free Wyoming preference point for making a $150 donation to WSF, BHA, or RMEF? How much would you be willing to "donate" if that were the case?
