I was leaning toward grizzly since my odds of hitting it with a pistol are greater, but the whole snake, lethargic, cold weather thing makes sense. So i guess that.

A dead pilot would be useless. I'll take the dog.

Every western big game hunt has been a catastrophic failure so far. What's one more? Just need to figure out who I'd hunt with since none of my hunting buddies are dead yet.

How about, you can only choose one for the rest of your life. 3 month archery season every year but you can only shoot antlerless or a 3 day rifle season every year but you can only shoot antlered. In either case, that's your only big game season every year for the rest of your life.

The only one of any kind!?! Ugh. That would suck either way. I’d have to go antlered. I would still want to chase the dreams.

Dog or pilot is a tough one for me. Looks dead and knowing if he is dead is the deciding factor here for me. I couldn't live with myself knowing I didn't try and save a man who was possibly not dead. Then I would cry like a child over my dog for a month.
One more epically terrible hunt with either of my Grandpa's.
