Cows all day. I have LOP tags and can get both bull or cow tags.

I have yet to ever put in for a bull tag. Just go out and shoot a cow every year for the freezer.

Coming from a MT Point of view, I’d hunt cows in the trophy unit. I love looking at big bulls almost as much as I like hunting/shooting/eating cows. I used to guide for a public land outfitter in an OTC either sex unit and hunters rarely got a crack at a bull. We packed out a mature bull about every other year. I drew a cow tag this year and am siked! I get Buck fever when I see cows!

You guys realize hunting cow elk in a trophy unit. What it does is ruins a bull tag hunters chances. Just my opinion and experience. Aggressive cow elk hunters. Lol

I've never heard of a trophy cow unit. Hunting cows in a LE bull unit seems kind of like looking for love in a strip club. A lot of looking and perhaps a consolation prize.
