Wordle

I think the full list of english five letter words is on your order of twenty five or twenty seven thousand.. I don't think we have rolled hrough them all but that doesn't mean we can't repeat.

From the Wikipedia article about Wordle: Each daily game uses a word from a list of 2,309 words.

I recall one day soon after NYT took over the game that there were two words of the day, as the original word "abort" was thought to be used in reference to the Roe V Wade Supreme Court ruling. So about midday they switched to a different word. The NYT came out with a clarification, stating that the word order is fixed, and it was simply an unfortunate coincidence.

As a Chiefs fan, I asked myself if "doink" could possibly be on the word list. Sadly it is not.

I remember an interview with the woman that runs Wordle for the NYT. She "researches" each word to be sure it is not something that could be taken offensively and this and that. She does this every week.

I have used penis a few times when the situation calls for it. The letters are very common, but I never expect to win with it. I am sure she would delete it. Vulva is another that I almost used a few weeks back.
