Wolves on the INL

For SE Idaho guys. Anybody heard, seen of this? Any more news?

Trying to find a link on this to the Idaho Journal.

Haven't heard anything, and I read the urinal pretty regularly as it's my hometown paper. That said, there's a pretty descent sized elk herd out on the big desert so there's certainly something for wolves to eat out there.

They have been seen by reliable huntin associates around the Big Butte, just a skip and a jump away.. I have tracks right through the horse pasture in the middle of the valley, i get calls every other week of sightings or tracks and I have yet to get one in my sights, only four of the allowed forty have been taken so far, they have really wised up from last year.. with today's fresh 4" of snow I will be out on the horses trying to run down tracks in the morning.

Its certainly possible, but I'd say their is also a good chance it was coyotes. I've talked to more than a few INL employee's and I'd say most aren't experts at wildlife ID.

I wondered the same things myself. Quite a few are, how do it put it.... "From out of the area."
