Who is funding the fight against hunting? Well you are of course…

@BrentD & I sit around camp laughing at all you poor schulbs who think shotguns made after 1980 are worth anything. We basically think of these people as the vegans of the gun world.
Ok real question to clarify. What does “made after 1980” mean? Manufactured after ‘80 or patented after ‘80?

That's a bit of a corker.

I'd have to go patented for a solid exclusion date because some modern made doubles based on 19th & early 20th century designs are admissible in camp without too much scoffing and puffing from me.

@BrentD may not be as forgiving though.

Republicans buy shoes, too.

I mean, I'm a capitalist at heart. I love freedom of speech & expression and I'm a huge supporter of equality for all.

But if I am in business to fix your car and I live in a district that went 53% against my candidate, I don't think it's smart to advertise how much I dislike my customer base.

I don't know why businesses feel like they need to be overtly political like so many have become. It's a stupid way to eliminate 1/2 of your potential market.

This is the gist of it, some of those businesses are big enough to absorb the hit they might take by offending or trashing customers, but many of them would do so much better financially if they were just nice people who sell a good product.

Read this, it's the very, very, kindly re-edited version that makes the owner sound almost sane, but it's the lite version of how he really is: https://www.penzeys.com/shop/about-republicans/

It's too bad, he makes good stuff, but I'm a libertarian and we quit going to this shop because of the owner's pure hate and vitriol.

Remington 870s were first manufactured in 1950.
So clearly only the ones with corncob slides and smooth-topped barrels with blued finishes, not those with pressed checkering and the faux-parkerized finish like my peon Express. Got it. Someday I’ll be cool enough to find an old one to use. 😉

Exactly my point and why I posted it!

Don't tell Brent, but my turkey gun is an plastic 870 express.

$200 at a pawn shop, dang near new.

I hope one day you find the need for beauty along with utility. ;)
