BigShooter- I believe you do have something against DIY hunters...otherwise you wouldn't want their name changed to "Take it upon yourself hunters". I personally have nothing against landowners. They should have all the rights and liabilities that all other property owners and citizens in the state have. They shouldn't have more rights than any other citizen either. I don't have a problem with guides. If a guide did a good enough job and earned a good enough reputation, he/ she shouldn't need to be "given" tags to ensure his job. You should be able to lease your land to an outfitter if he is willing to pay (but it shouldn't be at the expense of other public or private land hunters). If I put in for a permit, my odds should be the same as every other citizen in the state...no landowner preference, no guide tags. If you get drawn to hunt land in the county you live...good deal, if not too bad just the same as any other citizen of the state. No special priveledges...equal opportunity for everyone. You complain about deer, elk antelope eating your hay...I guess you should allow someone to control the herds...if you don't allow that control to happen...too bad. Just another liability of land ownership. I guess you need better crop insurance. The fact is you just don't like hunters that won't pay you for state owned resource...You are much better off with leasing your land to an outfitter. BTW- what makes you so sure that one of the "dudes" that the outfitter brought onto your land didn't shoot your cows?
