what are in kill kits? I saw a few folks break it down

Like JLS : latex gloves, zip ties for tags, transport tag (some states), felt marker to fill out a tag, all in a plastic ziplock. I shove my game bags to the bottom of my pack.

Much of what's list but added tourniquet and quick clot few years ago after my son cut himself on a mountain taking care of an elk

All of the previous items mentioned (excepts the twigs, leaves, and dirt). I also carry a thin poly tarp; if its nice, I put it down under my game bags to keep ground dirt, etc from my meat, if its raining, I can string it up with some parachute chord and keep myself and the meat dry.
