Leupold BX-4 Rangefinding Binoculars

Whats cheaper to shoot

but yes I probably ought to stop the scope thing
Dude. Don’t do that shit. Get some used cheap diamondbacks for god sake. People get in serious trouble for that, or worse. If that rancher caught you scoping his cow, not a good look.

You did good with the first kill, don’t go backwards ..

If I would of caught that rancher he would be in the sights to the dudes known for rustling cows hunting out of season baiting putting stands on me and my buddy's places and now his sons in jail for r#pe so he don't look to good as of now but I will pickup a pair of binoculars

If you had a good pair you would use them. If you swear to not use your scope to identify targets I'll send you a pair of Leupold Bx2 alpine 10x52 binos. PM me your address I'll even cover shipping.
That's a nice offer but it's my duty to buy my gear I need and I don't wanna just bum things off people so let me look for a good pair of binoculars and if I don't find any then I'll accept your offer

How does that make doing what you did any better? Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I can respect wanting to earn your own way. Just to clarify these aren't new binos but my old set that after upgrading I don't use but are in good condition. No reason to feel like a bum everyone needs a little help now and again. Also technically not free I expect a man to keep his word when he gives it. My offer stands PM me if you decide you want them.

I didn't quite expect new binos also how often should one upgrade there binos? One can't simply use the same pair for 10 years or so even if there crystal clear? I'm a fan of stuff that will last for years also a man is worth his word

Good binos will last 10+ years no problem especially if you take care of them. They were the best I could afford when I bought them probably 5 years ago. Life's been good and last year after Christmas I found a amazing deal on a high end set if binos I couldn't pass up. But it was a want more then need type thing.

You’re not getting the point.

Don’t point your gun at livestock.
I'm gonna try not to sound rude cause really I ain't being rude but I understand my mistakes and I plan on correcting them it's just we all make mistakes and some make more then others and I learned to shoot by myself and didn't have no help or teaching until I finally started learning myself about it around 11 and the scope thing has become a bad habit

No one’s flaming you for not having a proper upbringing. I admire your willingness to learn but like what @mevertsen said earlier, this is something you would have learned when you received your hunter safety certification. Then, by justifying your actions with a “what if” statement and suggesting the landowner is a bad person is not something you should have even considered saying. Maybe he (the rancher) is a bad person but that doesn’t give you an excuse to do what you did. You admitted you have a bad habit, great. That’s a good first step. Keep yourself accountable regardless of what’s around you.

Take up @WildWill ’s offer. Let your pride down a little, a little humility isn’t going to kill you. Take the nocs and promise not to scope anything you don’t intend to kill, buy your muzzy and go hunt and knock another doe down. Then come back and tell us the story about what you learned and what it meant to you.

But before you do that, read up on some of the muzzy content on here. There’s some very smart people who contributed some safe knowledge that prevents you from hurting yourself. I did much the same and shot my first animal with a muzzy. No upbringing on that, just some smart folks who taught me the right way on this forum.
