Most predators, until problematic. I do eat lions.
Hunted lots of critters.
I hunt elk now for food. Did put in for deer.

I've had 7 bear tags over the years (always on a NM elk archery hunt) and I've passed on probably 30 bears.
I dont want the mount, a rug, and I am probably not smart enough to cook the meat right.

Mule deer does, antelope does, bears with hounds. I'd like to go with some friends that chase bears with hounds, but shooting one over hounds would feel like a cop out after trying to get a nice one spotting and stalking.

I'm always seeing in our public hunt catalogs these "youth hunts". I have no desire to hunt youths.

Prairie dogs. I shot a few a long time ago, but one can't eat the plague infested things without risk of catching Yersinia. so I can't see that happening anymore.

i ate one once. chicken fried chicken style. wasn't bad, kind of marmoty.

Hunting wolves just doesn't seem like it would do it for me. Back east, I'd dunk a coyote any chance I got. Out here, in their native range, I usually give them a pass (but I did pick one off in defense of a flock of turkeys in Kansas last year).

I also have no desire to hunt predators. Especially wolves, coyotes, lions and bobcats. I buy a bear tag every year because I love the idea of hunting them in the spring, but don’t think I could shoot one. I’ve had plenty of opportunities, but can’t do it.

Wish I had the desire for hunting all the above as it sure would extend my season! I’m jealous of all of you that have the love for hunting predators!

Bears and cats here. No interest in Africa or any other over seas hunt. If I need a cheat sheet to know what I'm shooting, hard pass

I've really been enjoying eating my bear from last fall. We've made all kinds of things from just steaks to snack sticks, to slicing it up into fajitas. I haven't had something I didn't like yet!

A Sous Vide helps make sure you're always cooking it to the right temp!. I've also grilled it and just checked w/ a thermometer.

I skinned it and left paws & head attached. Not sure what to do with it yet. I might just clean the skull up and sell the rest to a taxidermist or a fur buyer. Also considered having a pair of mittens made, but that's expensive too.

That list is pretty much mine but with the bears added to it and I do enjoy hunting gophers/prarie dogs with blowguns if everything else is slow. Blowguns from 20-30 yards is a very low success rate, but occasionally. I’ve also broken a lot of arrows wasting time shooting at prairie dogs.

The poor ground squirrels in my backyard must feel like Custer at Little Bighorn with the amount of blow darts whizzing around them from my son and I.

Baboon for sure. Aint no way, aint no how!! Look too much like a human.

Giraffe (have always admired them and can't think of them as game)
Warthog (much too ugly)
