My neighbor is going to combine this corn field by the house tomorrow. I have seen a few on the creek beside it. Hopefully in a couple days we will have another great field hunt.

Made it out this morning chasing waterfoul for the first time this season. Only a couple weeks left before it closes but was a great way to welcome in the New Year.

1st time this year my wife and I finally got out this season..too many house/garage projects.
Had a great morning. Took 2 friends that never went before.. they are hooked now!

A harvested Saskatchewan pea field, with a 1/2 acre puddle 6” deep after heavy rain. A couple spinners, a Couple dozen floating duck decoys, couple dozen Canada silos. OMG !!!!!! Hunted it with my wife, our waterfowl biologist buddy and a two year old Chesapeake for 2 days. What memories !!!

Jump shot this lone goose from a Montana spring creek yesterday morning.


And shot this one in the fog last week while chasing roosters and a flock flew over low in the fog.

Lack of weather was becoming a problem were I'm at, but all changing now snow and below freezing on tap for Thursday. The Waterfowling should be epic this weekend!
Already notice many more birds on the move. Decent shooting the last two days, the birds sure can predict the weather better than man.

Been an interesting year here in Nevada. Lots of ducks, then lots of smart ducks, now some ice and migrators. Swans are here too. Hopefully the birds don't head to California.
