GOHUNT - Filter and find hunts like never before

WALA: Man attacked by a bobcat while turkey hunting

Had a decent sized bear come in to about 75 yards opening day here in CO before he ambled off to greener pastures.

Called a coyote to about 15 yards yesterday; I’d have shot him if a couple birds weren’t gobbling around me

While I was spring turkey hunting, I had a skunk come down a fence row and hop across my legs and keep right on trucking. Thank god. lol

Multiple coyotes, only one bobcat. Bobcat aren't in season during the local turkey season. Which is a shame because, in addition to being detrimental to turkey populations, they're decent table fare. Kinda rank when you undress them, tho.

A ranch I hunted in South Texas had mountain lions. We thought they were joking when they said we could shoot any we called in for free. I didn't figure out they were serious until afterward. I think I would have had something a little bigger than #9s in the second barrel had I known they were around.

About 10 years ago I was attacked by a bobcat and the following year a close family friend was also attacked by one in the same general area.
Bobcat and coyote encounters seemed to be a fairly common thing where I grew up turkey hunting in Pennsylvania.

OMG

That sounds terrible.

Have you recovered from your wounds?!
