I’ve not hunted North Slope, but have spent some time in there hiking and exploring. I wouldn’t consider it “easy” country by any means. I’ve talked to a lot of people who do hunt it, and the consensus seems to be that unless you’re willing to pack in a base camp and get setup way in before the season opener, then your odds of success are pretty slim. It would definitely favor a party hunt with pack animals.

Not looking for “easy terrain”. Looking for something that isnt as crazy as the salmon river breaks. I am in decent physical shape and can handle altitude fairly well. But there were a lot of places in the salmon zone that I just couldn’t go because of how steep and deep it is. Eastmans described the unit as rough to extreme. Which I didn’t read until after I had my tag. I could handle the rough but not the extreme.
