Ukraine / Russia

What does it change if there are war crimes?

IMO Russia is provoking a response.

Though the I.C.C. can initiate prosecution on any act of genocide, crime against humanity or war crime on its own, a charge of the crime of aggression — the one most applicable to Mr. Putin and his lieutenants — would have to be initiated by the United Nations Security Council, where it would face a certain Russian veto. In addition, Russia does not recognize the I.C.C. and would not surrender suspects.

IMO, I think it places more pressure on China so not sure, if a calculated Putin/Russia move, if that is good strategy or not - I would think not though...

I don't think it makes a ton of difference but it does continue to apply more pressure to Russia and his supports at just how wrong they are and how burnt those bridges are. I mean for all there talk of Russian Greatness, when you can't send any diplomats abroad because they'll be arrested and thrown in jail, it has to squeeze the ego a bit.

"More recently, state outlets doubled down on the Russian conspiracy theory claiming the US is funding the development of biological weapons in Ukraine"

Well at least Tucker is staying on message
He (Tucker) was questioning why we were funding biological labs in Ukraine. He didn't say that they were making bio-weapons. Even our own State department said that the labs were there.

Tulsi Gabbard even has raised this point, I guess she is also a Russian/Chinses agent as well.

Yes Russa and China are saying that is what the labs are doing. The problem I see is that after our government lies to us so much I don't know who to believe.

This phrase is incredibly trite and over played on this forum, but “useful idiot” feels very spot on and this is actually the exact context in which the term originated.

Tucker needs to stick to chasing snook.

The problem I see is that people believe that^
Let see,
Lyndon Johnson and the Vietnam war: The second attack on the Maddox never took place. They even knew it but didn't want to pull back.
George W. Bush and the Iraq war: Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

This is just two and they both got us into a war. I am sure I could make a long list. To think that they always tell the truth would be naive.

@Handlebar @Red Fox

Here are the primary sources read them for yourself.

There are bio labs in Ukraine, the US signed an agreement that the DOD would provide funding.

Here is the interview that Tucker is referencing.

This is the direct quote
“There is no place that still has any of the sort of infrastructure for researching or producing biological weapons,” Pope said. “Scientists being scientists, it wouldn’t surprise me if some of these strain collections in some of these laboratories still have pathogen strains that go all the way back to the origins of that program.”
