Tyler Freel article on reality of the outdoor media world.

There’s no shortcuts - don’t compare your public land hunt to their “public land hunt” which may have take decade(s) to build points for. Pursue what makes YOU happy with the time you have - not what’s popular on social media. You’ll be happier and more grateful with the results.

I started watching hunting content in earnest in 2018, and I’ll admit I was pretty duped. After about a year or so it started to become evident that what you see is much different than what was going on behind the scenes. They don’t say, “we’ve been farming friends and family PP’s for 15 years to make these hunts possible”, etc. Others have crazy rich parents that float the entry costs and maintenance costs of being a hunting personality. I remember a teen I knew years ago who consumed a lot of this content and was aspiring to be an outdoor personality, get sponsors, have a product line, etc. I wish I had this article to share then.
