Tundra Owners - Towing Question

My Tundra of the same year has 155k.
I don't ask it to do more than is sensible.
Didn’t do anything crazy with it. I’m 65 years old and don’t go 4 wheeling. Made three trips out west from Ohio with a Polaris side by side on a trailer. Probably 6,000 lbs. trailer with gear. Wouldn’t be surprised if there was another thousand pounds in the back of the truck. Most people don’t consider weight in the bed and passengers count towards max towing weights. The first year going to Wyoming we were driving 80 mph and got about 6 to 7 mpg. The next trip kept it at 75 and got about 8 mpg.

I was in a similar scenario last year except I already had the Tundra. Ended up with a F250 gasser and feel good about the call. It gets worse mileage than my Tundra did, which isn't much of a surprise. You pay your money and you take your chances.

I had a 2017 Tundra and would have never wanted to put that much weight behind it.
