It’s really easy to get frustrated with your dog and take it out on them, but remember, the dog may not understand because you aren’t communicating what you want very well. Always be willing to take a step back in training.

That is a common mistake I see. There is no reason ever to get mad at a retriever.

Just starting another female lab for upland. Citizenship is utmost softer getting pup use to the sound of shots, then hunt her as much as possible. I take my labs to a firing range, not close, and get them use to the reports. This has worked for me over the years. MTG
