Tinder/Hinge/dating apps in general

Buddy is listing off stats and measurements like its the NFL draft
Yeh, sorry about that. Pain meds got me! I'm still proud of her. At almost 64 years old she still passes the pinky test.

What's the pinky test? Make a fist with both hands. Now spread your thumbs and pinkies as far apart as possible. Touch thumbs together. Now here is the critical step; WHILE SHE IS NOT LOOKING...hold your pinkies up to her rear end. It's most accurate if she happens to be bending over. If it fits within the spread of your pinkies, she passes. If she catches you doing this, you fail. :ROFLMAO:

Tried Tinder for a while but it was not really for long-term relationships. I met my wife on Hinge. I think I had at least one fish picture on my profile and was pretty up front about my hobbies.

I like a big ass, so this test is worthless. All the ladies are into the squats now, as long as the waist is slim I want a big ol badonkadonk back there

Ok, how did you take that picture? That’s the real question here. She took it for you didn’t she?

It's like being on Linkedin in sales...The more contacts you have, the better chance of meeting someone interested in what you are selling. Every now and then you might get a referral. It's also how you let people know you are in the market. you don't know how many women you know might see your profile, and pique their interest to strike up a conversation in real life.

Understand that 95% of the women you see, and 80% you meet will have some dealbreaker aspect to them. Just like there are guys who are only on there for "one night action" there are women who are just wanting to be taken on a date, and have a nice meal they don't have to pay for.

Dating sites are where you practice your material. See what jokes resonate, what stories captivate, what interests or pictures get attention. It's a batting cage for your Charisma.

Have a clear idea about what your deal breakers are and be ruthless in enforcing your boundaries.

Good luck boys!

The apps are a reflection of wherever you are living- It can be absolutely brutal. So damn glad I met somebody the old fashioned way.

You can run into some truly weird people on the apps. Like- truly spectacular train wrecks of human beings. Then add in the bots, subscription-sellers, ACTUAL prostitutes (sorry- eScOrTs), and catfish, and it turns into a damn bleak landscape. I feel like the dating apps have done more to harm our society than just about any other technology in the past 100 years. It turns human connection and socializing into a numbers game- it commoditizes what should never have been. It’s like every chunk of habitat around turning into a high-fence operation, and you’re just flat-ass broke without a chance in hell.

I'm just getting out of a long term relationship. I actually need to have a friend intentionally take pictures of me so that I have something without me holding a fish or with my ex.

I definitely doesn't feel as 'cool' to meet someone on an app but you gotta try it all.

Hehe!

"Gen Z Gets It Wrong

Gen Z popular culture dismisses marriage from two directions: For women, third-wave feminism promises happiness through professional achievement, sexual promiscuity and atomistic soul-searching. For men, the vilification of masculinity fuels a “red pill” counterculture that glorifies sexual conquests and superficial displays of status.

Onscreen “girl bosses” like Samantha Jones in “Sex and the City” convinced a generation of young women that boozy one-night stands, Chanel bags and corner offices were more desirable than domesticity and child-rearing.

But 78% of women regret engaging in casual sex, and those who do so have lower self-esteem. Since the 1970s, women’s happiness has consistently declined alongside marriage rates. Many women wake up at 35 childless and single—alone with their Prozac and Pinot Grigio.

Meanwhile, Andrew Tate shows how many men react against a culture that portrays everything from holding doors to paying for dinner as “toxic masculinity.” Mr. Tate’s playboy lifestyle inspires young men to throw off the shackles of chivalry and seek a harem of OnlyFans models rather than a devoted wife.

Yet lifelong bachelorhood isn’t a recipe for fulfillment or success. Single men are 3.5 times as likely to commit suicide as married men ages 40 to 60. Single men also earn roughly $30,000 less a year in their 40s and 50s, peak earning years.

For thousands of years, marriage has been a building block of productive societies. Despite modern sentiments to the contrary, men and women need each other. The easiest way to build a meaningful and productive life is to fall in love, get married and start a family."
