I finally got through to the dealer today and they said the truck won't be finished until Friday.
I noticed today I already had a thread out here for my POS 2017 GMC Sierra 1500.

Great lifetime warranty has covered a ton of expensive repairs on this truck. But having it need so much warranty work, I wonder if it was made by Vortex.
I have been without it three times this year for major work. What happened to GM? Are all new trucks this pathetic?

Almost paid off. No more dandy trucks after this. I'd rather put money in Red Green or my 1988 OSB. I was planning an LS conversion on that one, but now I'm just going to go with a GM crate motor.

What happened...?

My 2015 has the buggiest computer in the world I swear. The amount of random messages I get for issues that just go away is nuts. My favorite one is when it randomly shuts off for a second but immediately is running again, really fun when it happens when turning. Every time I’ve had it to the dealer they basically say if it’s not throwing a code then they don’t know what to do. Last time they recommended I change battery cables to see if that would lead to less issues.

Mines paid off next year. I’m excited to start truck shopping asap

What happened...?
Broke a CV axle in the backcountry driving in to moose camp. Also took out the tie rod from the anti-sway bar to the control arm.
CV axle is covered on warranty, tie rod is not. It will be about $350 to get it out of hock.

The day before I left for camp, the tailgate latch broke off in my hand. I'm replacing that myself. I bought an upgraded metal one.

Going to sneak up to the Panhandle in Red Green to hunt my Regular Deer tag tomorrow morning and Friday morning. If you can sneak with no muffler.

I've missed too many good hunting days or been distracted by vehicle worries too much this year.

I have a '19 Sierra 1500, 5.3. Knock on wood, nothing but brakes and tires at the 90,000 mark.
Have a beater '99 Grand Am that I run back and forth to work, so it's saved a bunch of miles on my truck, 55 miles round trip to the plant.

How many miles? CV axles go out on everything unfortunately.
