Caribou Gear Tarp

The official 2025 Wyoming elk hunt for Dave N thread.

Good luck Dave . Just had my right shoulder rebuilt last week . Feeling pretty good about it , no real pain now , as long as I take Tylenol . I say get it fixed now rather than later .
But you're right , without my wife I couldn't have done it.
Same here. 3 shoulder surgeries. I could not have recovered from any of them without someone at home with me. My wife is a angel !!

It's not just the recovery time. My wife and daughter both had shoulder surgery and I know that being alone here isn't going to work. It's simply not an option.
Didn't read all of the responses.
I waited too long on my left shoulder, did more damage which escalated everything form the surgery to rehab. But the rehab went well, listened/learned. Now my rt shoulder acted up, decided to try the rehab(PT) exercises, strengthen.
It does help. If you stick to repetitive strengthening moves.
Seems like you have been doing that to get in shape. Good luck.

Feeling pretty decent today. 4 Aleve yesterday morning and nothing since. I can tell something is there but it's just a minor uncomfortable thing. Still going to take it as easy as possible until I see the doctor Wednesday. I'll put the plow on my atv tomorrow for the snow they say is coming and that's pretty easy. The bad part is today is another great day for dialing in my rifle. No wind at all for a change. Not going to risk a flare up from the recoil. At least I can move around without cussing when I move my arm!

Well, I'm going to live. Doc said I have a fairly large calcium deposit in my shoulder that would be pretty painful. Well no shit! Some kind of tendinitis as well. Deposit normally can get absorbed back into the body over time. For now, no treatment and resume normal activities. I'm good with that! If things pop up again there are some things to do but for now leave it alone.

Spring can't get here soon enough. Upper 50s today and I finally got outside and got some fresh air. Got some work done in the yard, scrapped a washing machine, shuffled some things around in the building so I can get either vehicle out without moving both. Even swept it out. Thought about riding the bike a little bit but just moved it from the garage to the kennel. Hitting the elliptical doesn't seem to be doing anything for my weight but I'll keep doing it until I can get outside to work out. This warmup means a south wind and it just won't let up for me to do any shooting. Probably only have about another month before I have to clean things out of the field for farming. I'm probably good to go but I'd still like to get some more shooting done. We'll see what happens.
