Maybe banking on some cheap Ukraine grain from their business partner?
...says the same guy who posts the debt clock on every thread.Doesn’t matter, it’s been paid back and then some with inflation.
Maybe we will stop subsidizing ag? Although I hear Georgia lost over $1b in timber due to Helene and they would like some help. Government bad...unless you get a check. You get the gist...
Yes.Maybe we will stop subsidizing ag?
We won't, but hell yea, send me a check anyway, I'll even remove the yard sign.Maybe we will stop subsidizing ag? Although I hear Georgia lost over $1b in timber due to Helene and they would like some help. Government bad...unless you get a check.
Some folks didn't get a stimulus check but had customers who did. I promise you that the folks who got those checks spent the money stimulating the economy. I can't say the same for the folks I know who got a tax break. What did you spend your stimulus check on?
Funny (and unrelated), antidote about the EPA from the early days: my uncle owned an automotive garage and sold used cars; we'll call it Franks Automotive. He had to find a new location in the 1980s (someone burnt down the old location), so he purchased an old gas station with four bays and a parking lot in the center of town. It was a great location for a small town and he could display just the right number of cars for sale (that's the number that you could display and sale without purchasing one of those pesky dealer licenses), and he had four bays to work out of. He would store the remaining cars on the front lawn of his home where everyone knew that they could go see Frank for cars. If you can't tell by now, Uncle Frank hated government regulation.Regulations from the EPA cost more than tariffs. That is why it went offshore.
You realize that was trite campaign jargon 3 weeks ago....I know who I would put my money on...

I didn't say I was happy about it, did I?...says the same guy who posts the debt clock on every thread.
You didn't give it back to the government (of the people, by the people). You gave it to corporations. Again, this is capital vs. labor. Capital seems to win every time.I didn't say I was happy about it, did I?
Labor isn't shit without capital, right? You didn't give it back to the government (of the people, by the people). You gave it to corporations. Again, this is capital vs. labor. Capital seems to win every time.
Nowhere did I...or would I...say I support illegal immigration. Let's not forget the "they are eating our pets" charges lobbied against Ohio immigrants HERE LEGALLY. They have given no indication they care about that key differenceThat's cute. "anti immigrant" AKA "undocumented immigrant" versus the reality: illegal.
Maybe we should categorize a poacher as an, "undocumented hunter".
A "non-immigrant" may lawfully obtain an H2A Visa to work in the U.S. and take all their $ back to their home country.
Difference, one holds lawful regulations for workers - the other enhances abuse of illegal workers. If you prefer to pay cheaper prices to maintain your "immigrant" valuation away from deportation - that's for you to decide. I'll pay more to ensure lawful non immigrants are able to work with regulations able to better protect them from abuse.
Tariffs combined with an active anti immigrant and deportation plan will be a double whammy for our economy.
Illegal aliens and lawful deportation is a massive win for America and all the law abiding non-immigrant and lawful immigrants working in our country....anti immigrant and deportation plan will be a double whammy...
Legal at the stroke of a pen.Nowhere did I...or would I...say I support illegal immigration. Let's not forget the "they are eating our pets" charges lobbied against Ohio immigrants HERE LEGALLY. They have given no indication they care about that key difference
We badly need an improved and orderly immigration process. Our country's economy requires that. Our southern border states deserve that too.
Press again today is another indication the incoming folks have anything like an orderly process in mind. Openly talking about using our military to round immigrants up, checking out vendors to handle mass deportation holding facilities...
