I just moved back to CA from Cleveland, TN but used to spend most of my time working in Sweetwater, Madisonville, Tellico, Etowah, Benton, Etc. There’s lots of hunting opportunity out there and most people are genuinely nice. Use OnX and don’t be afraid to knock on people’s doors to ask permission to hunt. I had permission on at least a dozen properties all by knocking and just asking. Lots of public land and a ton of deer. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Johnson City, TN is well known for its less than savory crime element (meth trafficking) and is a hub for the mid Atlantic area for drug distribution. Some things to consider about the JC area.

Back when I guided a few years in the Hartford area there was a weekly trip to Johnson city by groups from all the outfits. I went once and then realized why they went there....I didnt go again. Other than that i loved it in the Hartford area its beautiful country. Fishing is outstanding! Internet sucked, but that was a decade ago.
