pm me if u have any tips, ect, been a few years and i need a vaca,,,,

Bro! Galli , Madi , Jeff, misery, jellystone, And about a hundred tributaries and spring creeks in between.. just pick one, other than some possible hoot owl restrictions they are all good pretty much all the time other than runoff.

Great thing about right now......hopper season! Hard to beat in SW MT.

Pick up a regs book at any sporting goods store, tie on any hopper and go fishing. The regs book has a map of all the fishing access sights.

With the heat, try some deeper water in the heat of the day, fish the banks in the cool mornings.

Good luck, enjoy!

Find water. Toss fly. Catch fish. Repeat.

Check FWP website for hoot owl closures, but anything in the morning should be biting. There's no bad fishing that way.

Been killing em on those sparkly gold chubbies lately.. been tossing the same fly for like 3 weeks now.. closest thing you can get to tarpon fishing in Montana.. in the evening, ripples along the undercut banks.. Oh yea.. might head out now..

edit #8’s... purple has been good this year again also..

We were out in Bozeman a few weeks ago and didn't have much luck on the Upper Madison but did ok on the Gallatian river. My wife called Fins and Feathers and they were helpful.
