More from Alabama turkey season. Cool little box turtle out and about in the 80 weather.

I did see a snake and almost had a heart attack. We were moving into a set and I did a Quick Look for snakes before sitting down. Apparently, I didn’t look good enough. As I was about 2/3 of the way down into my sit, an approximately 3 foot long dark colored snake slithered out from underneath me. I let out a horrible yell and launched back up. I am not sure what kind it was but, we were right next to swamp so my mind still says cotton mouth.

Needless to say, no turkeys came in once I regained my composure. Oh the joys of hunting in the south!
