It is actually a 1914 Danzig Mauser 98 that someone had sporterized before my dad got it in 1965. I like the Williams peep sight.

I have thought about having it rehabbed, but I think I will leave it the way I got it.

Not what my roosters usually look like either!! We got 4 birds, but this guy just had a bunch of turquoise and violet iridescence all down his belly. Really pretty bird. This is the most zoomed out pic I have. He was old. Not sure if that had anything to with it.
