I found this old photo last week. I had missed a wolf below this rock with a muzzleloader but I shot an elk a few hours later nearby. The following day, my brother brought his rifle with him for the pack out in case the wolves made another appearance. They didn’t.

I saw all the vehicles with balloon support rig on them headed there on my way back from Javelina hunting. Looked like it was gonna be a big weekend there .

It was...for a smallish town, they did it well. 40 balloons. Lit them up on Main Street last night. It was fun.

Made Deer burgers today…61 patties and they’ll be gone in 3 months. Luckily I have around 30 pounds of deer meat left to grind up!

Breakfast at Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner (old school eats @ throwback prices and service, awesome) in Talihina, Ok before driving the 50 mile Talimena Nat'l Scenic Byway on the ridge of the Ouachita Mt's, a circuitous route to Hot Springs.

Spur of the moment getaway Friday evening...was planning on Antlers but the HiWay was full when I called ahead...stayed in Atoka & took the Stringtown cutoff to Talihina Sat morning. Stayed in Antlers many times on my bike.

Took this while grilling dinner tonight if you zoom in you can see the spring migration is full bore already seems like. Sure wish those speckle bellies that are here in the spring would stop by in the fall.

Partner in crime is also keeping an eye on them out the kitchen window.
