Sunday Pic of the Day

I was slipping on my waders for an afternoon hunt. The little man wouldn't let me go outside with out him so I left the gun on the porch and made it a scouting trip instead. Best time spent all season by far.

That's an awesome picture!
Thanks. We didn't slay them, but Slash did great for his first cold weather duck hunt. Luckily my buddy was there with his dog and I believe it helped Slash figure it out. Opps were limited, but captured a couple memories.

GuNR's vest is a little big for Slash, but he will grow in to it.:D

I have hunted and trapped for 30 plus years within .3 miles up stream and down stream of this area. I have never gone into to it until Friday of this week. Now I know why the deer movement was the way it was around it too. Looking at a topographic map it shows 100 feet of elevation drop in a 500 foot distance just at the water line. The banks of the stream in the picture shows it was a challenge to navigate. Add snow and ice and it got very interesting.

The close up of the water feeding this step of the stream. Some neat ice formations.
