Soaking up the last bits of summer

They call it the Griz Benedict at the Laughing Grizzly in Missoula, MT. .

Like an eggs Benedict, but instead of muffins it’s a biscuit, and instead of ham, it’s sausage. Accompanied with a huckleberry mimosa, hard to think of a finer way to start the day.

Nice to see…. We haven’t seen the top due to wild fire smoke for over a month. The fire is still burning but a little bit of rain, cooler conditions and a whole lotta luck with the wind kept it to 20,000 acres. The fire is about as far to the east of the ridge as we are to the west. Greatest danger to lives and property was the eastern flank of the fire. Fire fighters did a hell of a job containing it on that side. Our side was wilderness area, the plan was to monitor and essentially let it burn.

Drove west on 84 threw Baker City and La Grand yesterday and could see the smoke billowing like crazy.
