Quick hike to Independence Monument seemed fitting this weekend.

When I was in college, a couple of my friends and I went on a backcountry ski trip into the Eagle Cap Wilderness. One of the friends shared a can of mandarin oranges with a heck of a nice buck at the trailhead.

Got our big bales stacked up today… didn’t take a picture from the loader.

I’m just glad the AC still works in there.

Crappies, punkinseed, rock bass, large mouths, and yellow perch. The record was 5 casts in a row, set by the one that still refused to pinch a lip for a photo op. Sheesh...

I got to take a ride with one of the other ranchers this afternoon. The pictures don't do it justice but it's a couple shots facing S.E. from WAY out in our Backcountry. It was a great ride to beautiful country I hadn't been through before.
