Spring bear

Anyone else getting the itch for spring bear to get here? Have to head to western Montana first part of May to hang out with the in laws but I’m going to sneak away for a little bear hunting. Might go out for another week or so towards the end of May. Such a cool time to be in the mountains. Let’s see those spring bear pictures

Have been getting the itch for the past couple years, going to put in much more of an effort this year and hopefully find the right kind. Pic from last year. It is a great time to be out, saw, elk, deer, sheep, this griz and wolf tracks. Lot of animals concentrated.

My bear hunting partner called me this morning and we figured rough dates, its coming fast! His BIL might join for a week, will be his first western hunt experiance so should be interesting.

I have two weeks off in May and bear camp dates are set. I’ve gotten a bear three years in a row now including a double header with my brother. Can’t wait!!!

I noticed that FWP got some bear age data up on the website. Check your tooth age data on my fwp. I had one that just came up from 3 years ago.

Thanks for the heads up on this. My friends and I were curious some of ours. My brothers in the one pic taken after dark was 9 years and my one on the tree stump was 7.
