Shoutout for Idaho Public Lands Rally

Tommy doesn't understand public finance if he believes that Idaho can manage the Fed lands without selling lands or implementing a massive tax increase on Idaho residents.

I am trying to get a meeting with him, as we speak. Or, at least one of his campaign guys. Not sure if he is the right answer on other issues, but I don't want to see him in the Labrador/Fulcher/Heather Scott wing of the party.

First, public lands in Idaho don't belong to all Idahoans, they belong to all Americans even this Montana boy. Second, what is this access BS?, I don't know of any legally accessible public land I don't have access to, so stop with the access BS spin, cause it's Bullshit. It seems to be avenue the PLT is taking; convince the public the big bad Feds are denying the Public, access to their public lands. It ain't so.

You have your work cut out for you.
Idahoans—not the federal government—know best how to manage our public lands and find solutions that maintain access. By sharing the recreation and enjoyment of our public lands with our children, they will learn to appreciate and protect the beauty of Idaho. Our public lands belong to all Idahoans, and Tommy will fight to ensure our access and that they remain public.
Wishing you the best of luck

The new spin seems to be that these rallies are pro transfer. Us locals are frustrated with the feds mismanagement. Where they get that IDK.

The feds limiting public access is one of my ten public land transfer fallacies.

FALLACY: ACCESS TO FEDERAL PUBLIC LANDS HAS BEEN SHUT OFF BY FEDERAL AGENCIES CLOSING ROADS AND OTHERWISE LIMITING ACCESS.
The truth is that many roads closed and/or no longer maintained results from planned closures at the culmination of temporary forestry, mining, or other land use projects. Many roads no longer open and maintained are simply due to priority decisions resulting from reduced budgetary revenues and diversion of revenues to wildfire mitigation and suppression efforts in recent years. Even with road closures, access to federal public lands remains open to hiking, skiing, running, horse and other pack animal use, bicycling, motorcycling, snowmobiling, and various other means of access. Temporary restrictions to access are associated with soil erosion mitigation, weed control, wildlife management practices, and other such reasonably warranted measures.

I asked a guy today, on the "access" issues the Feds have created if he was trying to tell me that the State Land Board would not have Travel Management Plans, and people could just ride their ATV's anywhere they wanted??

Uhhhhhh....... awkward silence.....

Yes, but better to convince the masses the Feds have shut off all access.
