Should the State of MT take control of Federal Lands ??

We have our share of carpetbaggers, historically and presently. Sounds like you need to rail against your native sellers...and YOUR Montana elected officials instead of state M'fkn specific deprecation.
I meant no personal offense, and I understand how it got that way, but the Texas model is exactly what we are trying to avoid. Sorry if you choose to take that fact personally. I can't blame our "native sellers" for cashing out, but that really doesn't have anything to do with converting federal lands to state for "energy independence."
