SF118 Action alert big bucks for big bucks take 2

HAHA. Wait all through this thread you were happy about paying for better access. Isn't the wilderness rule just that? So which is it, forcing to pay more for access is good or bad?

100% up to the residents of Wyoming whether that is good or bad. I am merely pointing out that it’s a bit disengenuous to focus only on the hypothetical/potential loss of access loss without acknowledging the opportunity for access gains.

I personally am a DIY public land hunter, not real interested in a guided hunt at this time. Maybe some day that option will become appealing, never say never. I’m fairly certain you knew that’s what I meant and are being pedantic.

I’m glad your friends got to hunt there with you, hope everyone had an awesome time👍
Its really tough to understand why you have no friends that are WY residents that would hunt with you in designated wilderness.

Buzz, those personal digs aren’t necessary or helpful.

You obviously have a lot to offer, but I’m a bit surprised at your lack of discipline on here sometimes.

If you asked Wyo landowners with less than 640 acres if they would rather have a quota on landowners tags or would rather go with a 640 acre minimum to qualify, which would they choose?

My guess is that smaller acreage landowners would leap at set landowner tag quotas rather than being suddenly forced into public draw tags they may not draw in a lifetime if their land suddenly doesn’t qualify! I would be furious if I owned less than 640 in Wyoming!

Even worse, my guess is that more 640+ parcels will suddenly appear on the market with a 640 acre minimum to qualify. Subdividing more acres of critical wildlife habitat in the process. Not much of a sustainable management plan to benefit wildlife is it?

BHA is a terrorist organization in sheep's clothing

Please authenticate your standing, source(s) of information, and logic set for the conclusion expressed by the strong assertion.
Evidence of terrorism and data source for ovine comment would be helpful, as so many here on HT are under contradictory allusions regarding BHA.

I could certainly be wrong, but my guess is he wants his corn pile.

Well when a group that advocates for public land rights. Comes into a state that's 95% private and starts advocating and trying to take things away from private landowners such as tag allocations, hypocrisy on who can and can't bait, they can go find another rope to piss up. Go ahead and piss off the landowners in ND, if you think stuff is posted now just wait till even more get sick of it.

The badass hunter needs a corn pile?

Hilarious.

Toughen up kitten.

Yeah, we oppose transferable landowner tags, hard no.

In addition at some point, they need to look at landowner tags as well and only give them a certain range from the property.

Take area 100 for example.

You can have a land in Farson/Eden and get land owner tags for area 100, then if you found a big bull in Wamsutter and proceeded to Harvest it.

You could shoot that bull 108 miles away from your land, because it is in the same unit.

You got a land owner tag due to enough elk feeding on the land with enough acreage.

However, shooting an elk even 25 miles from your land is probably pushing it to the extent that land owner tag should be good for.

Well - not sure where you got 95% of the state is private. BHA, as an org, predates landowner tags in this state. If it werent BHA, itd be someone else. Wildlife has been a public resource for more than 100 years...

Landowner tags should be good for the private land they are allocated to.
