Second Choice Antelope

As Buzz said a lot of those units are no longer leftover or second choice now. It's has always amazed me the number of antelope points guys build before cashing in. I'd never build more than 2 personally.

Just glad I don't deal with points. Last 5 years I have drawn both type one and type 6 or 8 doe tags. But then I almost always hunt either on base or on a ranch 25 miles or so north of where I live.

Shhhh, let them build their points only to come on here to ask where to go with 11 antelope points...

Glad I don't have to worry about points. I have drawn 100% of what I put in for for the last four years for elk, deer, and antelope. If that happens this year, it will be my fifth year drawing 100%. Next year we are hunting Saratoga and see how that goes.

The leftover pool is drastically different than just few years ago. Many old reliable 2nd or leftover tags now take 2/3 points for nonres. I just wish wyoming would do lope like deer tags, even use same regions etc. Dont understand why we just cant get a general lope tag and have have couple LE tags to apply for just like deer hell got more antelope anyways i bet. This would also stablize the nonres pool and allow you actual odds as residents would typically just hunt a general rather than a leftover...just like deer

Like Buzz said, the ship has sailed away. Western hunting has become a achievable feat for many people these days. My old go to leftover unit is now pretty much a 1 point draw now, thanks onyx maps.
