SD's Thune picked to head Senate

What do folks that know him think--will he stand up to Trumps 2025 plan to decimate/sell public lands? From what I have seen from afar he may not be as loony as some in his party and is a classic politician but hasn't been terribly friendly to sportsmen or public lands.

He's stood up to trump in the past, well more like just didn't openly go for or against him.

Honestly, out of the choices available, highest chance he'll keep our public lands public.

He's appointing authors of Project 25 to positions left and right. Lots of discussion on this board about it in the past too. Remember his promise to the oil industry? Give me money and I'll make you richer than you are? Well they gave him money. LOTS of it.

Who are these people out of curiosity? Can you name a few?
