Not to pick too much fly chit from the pepper, but I’ve got some time before Dadding slows down enough to get out for bear season.

Why is there another SAAMI spec Creedmoor cartridge? Dinking around last night on AB and I don’t see a huge advantage over the 6.5 or 6 Creed. What does the quarter bore do that the others don’t, or am I just being a stick in the mud.

I have to agree I think it would be for people that want to shoot 25 caliber. No advantage, just another offering.

I concur, it's nothing earth shattering, in fact it's been a common wildcat for years. I think the point is to allow those who already like it or quarter bores in general to have factory options.

The creedmoor case is a good design if you want to shoot it knock yourself out. I have a 6.5 and 22 creedmoor.

As long as a company isn’t having issues supplying what they currently have I have no problem with all these new cartridges coming out. Would sure be boring if we were stuck with a 30-06 and 22hornet. I mean they are literally in the sales business and this will sell. 128 eldx and a 134 eldm will sell

Some people are just in love with 25’s. I guess if you can sell them something, then you might as well.

From what I've gathered on YouTube. It has the same BC as the 6.5, but it's higher velocity with a slightly lighter bullet. The net is it does better in wind and catches up to the 6.5 in energy with quite a bit less drop at longer distances. Bonus is it's a bit less recoil.

The 6 mm doesn't have close to the same BC.

The only thing that's hurting it is lack of manufacture support. We'll see if that comes around.

My Winchester Model 70 chambered in 25-06 satisfies my needs quite well.
Probably would for me, too. 25-06 is ahead at my distances.

However, if you don't have either one, 25 Creedmoor is another option. Note: I don't have any of the Creeds. ;)
